Can I... Find Out Who Owns A Piece Of Property?

Ownership of property is established according to what is recorded in the Register of Deeds office.

You will need a grantor or grantee name to search any land record information in the Register of Deeds office and you should have an approximate year to search.  Our office has provided two public work stations for searching the documents on the computer and the vault is available for record searching before January, 1969.

If you do not know the property owner's name, you may contact the County Equalization Department, the County Treasurer's Office, the Township Treasurer or the Township Assessor.

Title Searches are not provided by this office.  You may contact a Title Insurance Company for title searching services.
