Heroes With Hearing Loss Program

The Heroes with Hearing Loss Program is for Veterans with hearing issues that are experiencing difficulty with using a phone. Qualification is not limited to having hearing damage outside of military service. The service is free, but does require internet connection.

Veterans Assistance

Leelanau County Veterans are serviced by office hours at the Leelanau County Government Center, or through the Traverse City office.  Normal office hours in Leelanau County are by appointment on Tuesdays from 9:00 a.m. to 12 Noon or drop-ins from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Veterans should contact the the Traverse City office at 231-995-6070 for appointments and information on services that may be available or the Government Center office at 231-256-9711 for any general questions.

Veterans Memorial:

The Leelanau County Veterans Memorial, located on the grounds of the Leelanau County Government Center, was dedicated on August 14, 2010, the 65th Anniversary of the end of World War II.

 Commemorative Donations will always be accepted for
Brick Pavers, Walls of Honor engravings or for Perpetual Care.
