The Leelanau County Historic Preservation Society will be hosting a dedication of a historic marker for the Leelanau County Poor Farm Barn at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 10.

The Poor Farm Barn was recently named as one of the 2021 Historic Barns of the year.

The popular disc golf course located at Myles Kimmerly County Park is currently closed, due to a debris clean-up project.

Reopening is tentatively scheduled for July 1, depending on the progress.
