Type last name first - Use no puctuation marks.

It is important to remember that this office must record information exactly as it is written on documents. So when researching information it may be necessary to look for the information in many ways, such as Richard Smith, Rick Smith, Dick Smith or by including a middle initial or Jr. Sr. II etc. designation.

Names with prefixes such as McDonald or O'Brien may need to be searched with a space after the prefix, without a space and possibly with an apostrophe to be sure to find every variable of the last name.

Not all documents list a parcel or tax identification number and therefore the number is not indexed.  If searching by a parcel or tax identification number, please be aware that only documents with the number on them will be found and may result in incomplete search results of the documents pertaining to the property you are searching for.
