Centerville Township is located in the center (funny thing eh?) of beautiful Leelanau County. It is characterized by rolling topography, farms, orchards and, recently, vineyards. The entire six miles of the Township's eastern line borders southern Lake Leelanau.
There are no incorporated Villages within the Township, and the most recent Planning Commission survey indicates residents like it that way. Commercial development is encouraged in the surrounding Villages of Cedar (to the south) and Lake Leelanau (to the north).
