Housing Action Committee (HAC) Meetings

At their regular meeting February 21, 2017, the County Board of Commissioners passed a motion to support a Proposed Housing Goal as recommended by the Housing Strategy Committee. 

In March, ads were released to accept applicants for the new Housing Action Committee.  These applications were taken to the Leelanau County Planning Commission and all applications were accepted and the committee held its first meeting on May 18, 2017.  This first meeting focused on introductions and members sharing information on their areas of expertise.  The committee also reviewed the Proposed Housing Goals adopted by the County Board and held discussion on how to operate as a committee.  Members decided to use a consensus based approach.
